Introduction to our Adoption Story
I should have started this blog sooner. It has been a process that we have been going through for the past couple of weeks and so much has changed.
First, this is obviously about our adoption. We decided long ago we wanted to adopt a baby or child but didn't know exactly when. It was something I have wanted for a really long time. My sister always tells me she remembers me being in middle school telling my parents we had to adopt a child. It was always on my heart.
When Branden and I met I told him about my desires to adopt a child at some point in our lives. He agreed that it was something he would like to do too. When our journey to become parents wasn't as easy as we'd hoped it became even more clear to us that adoption was in our future.
Fast forward to today and we are very excited to say we will be adopting a baby girl in October. She is due around October 18th and we could not be more excited.
The news comes at the same time as we found out we were expecting a baby so we will have our hands quite full.
We can't wait to meet our little girl in just over a month, give or take and for Ace to become a big brother. He loves babies and we are hoping he really enjoys having one in his life 24/7.
